We are proud to say that Reflex is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this Summer!
Back in 1976 when we started out, it was hard to imagine we would ever reach this milestone but through hard work, dedication and investment, we have achieved great success despite challenging global financial conditions we all face today. So to mark this great achievement, our Managing Director, Tony Jones, decided to throw a party here at Reflex HQ, on the 8th July.
However, this decision was not easy for Tony and the company to take as the founder , Mark Brown, passed away at the end of May after a short and brave battle with illness. Mark Brown started Reflex as a T-shirt printing company in 1976 and Tony joined him soon after. Mark and Tony worked hard to build the company into what it is today, one of the leading UV plastic printers anywhere in the UK. Mark had an adventurer’s spirit and his wife Kim assured Tony that Mark would have wanted the party to go ahead. Mark will be sorely missed by everyone at Reflex.
We invited customers and suppliers alike and the big night soon arrived. The Marquee was grand and Tony, as always didn’t hold back. The decoration was meticulously planned and professionally designed. We had Ice Cube Tables that changed colour, the live Band and the DJ kept the music playing well into the early hours and our bellies were full thanks to a mighty Hog Roast and Barbeque. The centre piece of the party was a very impressive Vodka Louge Ice Sculpture, engrained with our Logo, dispensing blue vodka shots all night long!
We also showcased some exciting new print samples , a preview of the new enterprise Reflex is undertaking with Fuji Film. Reflex will be the Beta test site for this new exciting venture and it will revolutionise our digital printing capability. In terms of speed, quality and flexibility, the new press will ensure we remain ahead of the competition and it will pave the way for what we hope will be another exciting and successful 40 years.
The party was a great success and a good time was had by all. To those who could not make it this time, we hope to see you at our 50th!
