Imagination is your only limit

Plastics are very popular, tremendously versatile and durable materials. Limited only by your imagination, Reflex can assist you in turning a flat sheet into something exciting and eye-catching. With a variety of techniques at our disposal, together we can create stunning professional solutions that effectively promote your product or business. Using materials that are more striking and durable than traditional paper or board alternatives, this opens up all kinds of possibilities.

We guarantee high-quality production, whether digital, lithographic or screen printed, our in-house production and finishing facilities based at our industry-leading UK premises ensures complete customer satisfaction.

Reflex’s investment in a state-of-the-art digital flatbed allows us to print UV inks on almost any substrate up to a size of 2.5m x 1.25m and 50mm thick. In addition and complimenting the CMYK we can print ‘double hit’ digital opaque whites, registering precisely supporting on or under colour as required. In addition to sheets the digital is capable of printing reels up to 2 metres in width. Ideally suited to lower volume production – the efficiency of minimal pre-press and no need of printing plates makes our digital the perfect choice for multiple designs, language change and personalisation. Combine all this with minimal waste, equals lower cost.

Our RIP software enables calibration of colour profiles specific to each specialised substrate, a quality maintained to Fogra 39 – industry colour standard on most materials.

To support the digital press we recently invested in a CAD and cutting machine. This addition to our portfolio is yet another means of offering greater flexibility for ease in production of working wet proofs or prototypes at very competitive rates, whilst always improving on our customers lead times.

Finally, we are currently looking into a new digital press to improve on our production times and quality. Keep up to date with us by getting in touch here or by signing up to our newsletter!

Lithography printing is suitable for medium to long runs, as the quantity rises so the unit cost goes down, producing a high-quality image at optimum speed.

Our customised Komori press can print up to six colours in one pass onto plastics or other synthetic materials. Featuring a fully inter-decked UV curing system between units for whites, allows us to run 4 colour jobs plus white in just one pass.

The Komori can run up to six spot colours where detailed accuracy is crucial, (impractical on a digital press) and anti-marking rollers make it possible to print materials that other printers would find impossible.

A Cyrel plate facility offers a registered varnish to follow a specified design if needed.

Quality is priority and key to that is controlling colour weight and balance. We work to Fogra 39 standard and using our Press Sign software ensures curve settings are calibrated to optimum levels specific to each material type. Highly accurate, our system has many benefits, not least minimising print dot gain which otherwise unchecked, would diminish definition of final product appearance.

‘Perfection through Precision’ is our objective and to achieve that we regularly calibrate all our equipment. This essential for our work in plastics, particularly lenticular.

Sadly traditional screen printing is a shrinking art form, largely due to the digital explosion. However, there remain some areas in which screen is the best option.

Aside from the usual colour printing we offer, special finishes can be added to our litho printed sheets. Unique to screen process effects include chrome, glitter, reflective, fluorescents, gold, glow-in-the-dark and light reactive ink, plus a range of specialist varnishes.

Here at Reflex, we can screen sizes of up to 1150 x 780mm using a dot ratio of up to 85lpi. Our machines have multi-option curing systems including UV, IR, warm air, air extraction and oxidising racking.

When printing on coloured materials, the deposit and opacity of the specialist screen ink used gives a superior finish to that of digital or litho.

Screen, litho and digital prints can also be turned into stickers by screen printing adhesive to one side and applying a release liner.

For double-sided window stickers, for example, we run an obliterator with a white, silver or white screen to stop the under surface image showing through.
